Ben Stancil, M.A., is a full-time English instructor and dual enrollment coordinator at Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê, where he teaches English courses and the occasional Film Studies class.

Ben joined Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê in 2019 after a 13-year high school teaching career. He attended Hope College and Aquinas College for his undergraduate work, and CMU and Lindenwood University for his graduate work.

As a lifelong learner, he is passionate about reading and writing, and how they contribute to the advancement of intellect and character.  He’s a firm believer that an intelligent society is something we can and should strive for.

Outside of class, he’s a father and husband and can be found tending his backyard garden, strumming a guitar, and chasing after his two daughters, Piper and Lucy.  He and his wife, Jasmine, met in 1999 and, in the past five years, have rescued two large and lazy huskies who roam their yard and terrify Amazon delivery drivers.Â
