Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê’s Board of Trustees announces three finalists in presidential search

During a special meeting on April 29, the Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê Board of Trustees voted to conduct second interviews with three candidates for the college’s president position.

The interviews are May 6, 7 and 8. They are open to the public and will be at 5 p.m. in rooms D303-305 in the Beatrice E. Doser Building in the college’s Sidney campus. Community open forums precede each interview from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. during which community members may meet and ask questions of each candidate.

The candidates and their interview dates are:

Monday, May 6 – Dr. Sandra Kiddoo, President of Northland Community and Technical College in Minnesota.

Tuesday, May 7 – Dr. Jon H. Connolly, President and Associate Professor of Environmental, Biological, and Horticultural Science at Sussex County Community College in Newton, New Jersey.

Wednesday, May 8 – Dr. Bradley J. Barrick, Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê’s presidential search committee considered a pool of 48 applicants with the assistance of consultant Dr. Angela Provart, President of Pauly Group Inc.

The presidential search committee includes:

  • Karen Carbonelli, Carol Dueling-Ravell and Kurt Peterson, representing the Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê Board of Trustees.
  • Jane Anderson-Beach and Bridget Badder, representing the Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê Foundation Board of Directors.
  • Vladimir Edelman, Tore Skogseth and Anne Wiggers, representing Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê faculty and staff.
  • Jakob Bigard, Mandy Christian, Kyle Hamlin and Bob Byram, representing the community.
  • Tiana Whitacre, representing Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê students.

With Pauly Group’s assistance, the Board intends to have a new president in place by July, creating a smooth transition in leadership from Interim President Connie Stewart.

Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê’s sixth president, Dr. Stacy H. Young, ended her tenure at Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê in June 2023, after being named the 16th president of her alma mater, Manchester University in Indiana. Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê’s Board of Trustees appointed Vice President for Administrative Services Connie Stewart as the college’s Interim President from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
